Butterflies of Hope
Acrylic, Ballpoint Pen, Ink pen, China ink (black), Drawing ink (fuschia) on canvas 12x24 inches This was orignally the old ''Toxic child'' I had painted a while ago (Remember the little girl with the gasmask?) Because I really wasn't proud of it AT ALL, and I wanted to do something new... So I just doodled the background which are suppsoed to be trees, and had this idea with butteflies.. The girl is supposed to be the same as the one on ''La Balancoire'', by the style of her legs and hair. The background is done with toothbrush and by letting flow the water upside down the canvas, and blowing a little of by breathe with my straw to add some more chaotic look to the black ''trees''. (Those looks more like plants, though.) Yep. edit I hope you don't mind the change, but I took the picture outside at daylight so the details are way better shown. Tell me if you liked the old version. |
